Steerer tube cutting guide
Material: Premium Flex carbon steel
• For sizes: 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/8", 1-1/2"
• Item 1604/2PLUS allows the installation of the 1604.1/2PLUS measuring instrument, which makes it possible to quickly and accurately determine the desired steerer tube length after cutting.
• How to use the tool:
• If the steerer tube of a new fork is too long, it must be shortened to obtain the desired length. The cutting guide allows clean, precise cutting of steerer tubes in sizes 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/8" and 1-1/2". Install the fork steerer in the cutting guide, taking care to position the cutting point exactly at the saw slot in the guide. Tighten the screw, but not excessively. Clamp the cutting guide/fork assembly in a bench vise. Saw the tube using a saw (item no. 750) through the guide slot. If the part to be cut has been installed precisely and securely, there will be no visible marks left on the fork steerer.
