The new Motion freecoaster features a completely new axle along with a nylon clutch retention spring. By replacing the traditional spring-and-ball system, the new hub requires less maintenance and is much easier to disassemble. The nylon retention spring also reduces internal drag and enables faster rolling and smoother crankflips.
