Only Giro could design a full-face helmet this impressively light while still delivering uncompromising protection. Weighing just 800 grams in size medium, this NTA-certified MTB helmet features Spherical™ Technology, developed by Mips®, which ingeniously integrates independent EPP and EPS foam layers designed to optimize impact management at both high and low speeds. The Coalition Spherical also rivals the ventilation power of some brands’ road helmets, pairing massive intake ports at the front with efficient exhaust vents at the rear, all linked by deep internal channeling. As with many of our creations, one of the most impressive innovations of the Coalition is hidden inside: the Halo system combines a Pebax® chinbar (a material engineered to offer the perfect range of flexibility and rigidity) with elastomer pads integrated into the EPS to absorb and dissipate kinetic forces. The result is a helmet that exceeds standard chinbar deflection tests by nearly 2x. With Ionic+™ treatment to control odors and two sets of removable cheek pads to help fine-tune the fit, the Coalition Spherical sets a new benchmark for lightweight full-face protection.
