The function of the MIPS system used in these helmets is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the rotational energy that may be transmitted to the brain in certain impacts.

Developed in Giro’s lab in Scotts Valley, California, this revolutionary new frame design delivers unparalleled peripheral vision. We started with a helmet-compatible goggle, then thinned the frame edge and added frameless zones to optimize a massive spherical lens, focused on providing the best possible peripheral vision in a goggle of this type.

QUICK-CHANGE LENS SYSTEM
The quick-change lens system uses self-locating magnets to make swapping lenses a snap. Four spring pins hold the lens securely in place.

EVAK VENT TECHNOLOGY
Available exclusively on VIVID goggle models, EVAK Vent Technology uses a new foam made from an ultra-durable, non-absorbent material. EVAK vents minimize the risk of fogging by releasing moisture while simultaneously creating a barrier against the elements.

Specifically designed for skiers and snowboarders who wear glasses, OTG (Over-The-Glasses) goggles feature a finely engineered interior with extra volume to comfortably accommodate prescription frames. The increased air volume inside the goggle keeps your vision sharp, clear, and fog-free.
