Thanks to their braking force ratio, system stiffness and minimal friction in the lever mechanism, they offer incredibly intuitive braking precision. The brake lever drives a 9 mm master cylinder piston that pushes oil to four 14/17 mm stainless steel pistons through a progressive linkage described as a “knee joint.” This means that the more you pull the lever, the more the force generated by its movement increases. This clever design lets you increase your braking power without feeling like you’re arm-wrestling your handlebar. The brake levers let you feel instantly when the pads touch the rotor. The Kevlar, pressure-resistant brake hoses and the aluminum master cylinders and calipers increase system stiffness, delivering a crisp, predictable bite. While the polymer master cylinder piston reduces friction, the stainless steel caliper pistons ensure a consistent bite point with uniform return. All of these technologies, combined with the ball-bearing-mounted lever, give you the precision you need to master even the most direct lines.
