"Terra Aidon X5 is a ride-compliant e-MTB saddle designed to improve the riding experience on a full-suspension pedal-assist mountain bike. Part of Fizik’s new range of short-nose saddles, the Aidon is specifically engineered for use with full-suspension e-MTBs. The shorter shape puts riders in a more planted position, improving stability, confidence, and control when riding heavier pedal-assist bikes. A gradual transition from the nose to the side wings allows smooth position changes while guiding the rider. The waved kicktail supports the lower back to help riders maintain their position on technical climbs and offers better control during the electric-assist kick. Once you’ve conquered the climbs and drop your dropper post for the descent, the saddle becomes a control device. The rounded contours of the Terra Aidon allow your legs to move smoothly and quickly around the saddle to help you stay on line. Since you spend more time seated on an e-MTB than on a traditional bike, the Terra Aidon features a specific ergonomic cut-out designed to relieve pressure on sensitive areas. A rubber layer at the base of the cut-out acts as a mudguard, blocking unwanted trail dirt and spray. To further increase comfort, our e-MTB saddle is padded with exclusive Type-2 foam that’s thicker around the sit-bone area to support a more upright riding posture, and on the sides for better maneuverability and comfort when pedaling at a high cadence. For pedal-assist all-mountain use, the Terra Aidon is built with a compliant shell that offers a higher level of flex. This controlled elasticity absorbs vibrations for increased comfort. To better support the flexible Terra Aidon shell, we used our closed-loop Mobius rail system for greater structural stability and responsiveness.
